Whatever OSS projects you use have channels on freenode. Keep those open all day and lurk, you'll be amazed how much you learn from osmosis. If someone comes by with an easy question, answer it and you'll have social karma to get help from others when you need it.

At this point, anyone who develops an iTunes app is bringing this on their own head. Apple's arbitrary stupidity is a known risk. If you don't want to get bit, then don't play with the pit bull.

For years I've said that Apple is by far one of the scariest software companies out there.

The enthusiasm for their products and CEO seems to have a blinding effect on the very same people that would normally be up in arms.

I think it would be an interesting social experiment to outline many of their business practices without mention of the products, company or brand, even possibly an alias, or dummy co. and survey their hardcore base for opinion of the company.

Thanks for the advice, but we are not concerned with ruining the prospect.

We are ramen profitable and are going to succeed with our without an acquisition. We would just be on a different path.

A large reason we put this post out there, is to determine if it is something we are actually interested in.

Also, being able to be open with the world about what we are doing is one of my favorite parts about being in a start-up. One of our main goals with our startup is enjoy the experience. If YouTube really doesn't want to work with us because we mentioned our meeting publicly, it is an indication that it is not somewhere we want to work!

The QB recently passed the telepresence equivalent of the Turing Test. Anybots and YC are in the same building, so these things are always driving around. I was recently talking to Trevor, who was using one, and asked if he wanted to come over to our house that night for dinner. I assumed he was in the back of the building. He said he couldn't make it because he was actually in Hawaii.

One thing that surprises me in the images was that one of them is exactly "Where to?" by tap tap tap:
