Fantastic memories here.

Any website that is an app is going to need SPA like features.

Especially if they have some kind of AI integration feature.

I'm working on an open-source web app to visualize barbell lifts.

Basically trying to provide the best motivation and resources to help people invest in their physical strength which is crucial to health and longevity.

I'm keeping it strictly based on user Google Sheet data - because over the years I've changed apps and it's always hard to get your data out.

So far I have:

- lots of charts

- an cgpt wrapper to talk to your lifting data and get lifting advice

- the best strength calculators (in my opinion)

- a strength ranking system for squat, bench press, deadlift and strict press.

Tech stack:

- Next.js on Vercel

- ShadcnUI components (the charts are great)

- nextauth

- Tailwind CSS

- ChatGPT 4o

All parties are making millions off open-source WordPress.

Matt's team are upset because they only make tens of millions, whereas purportedly, WP-engine makes hundreds of millions. Matt gives back much more than WP-engine.

All their clients are businesses also making money through their WordPress-hosted websites.

I don't think there is a problem with open source and viability. It is raining money.

It's simply an in-house fight over inequities in giving back to the open source pot of gold.

Not sure this works.

Yes, we all know the good habits.

A fitness tracker enables a gamification that encourages the daily habits.
