Is it English only?

as of now its english only. the training for multilingual model is underway and should be out in April! what languages are you most interested in? Right now, we are providing deployments for custom languages + voices through support form on the github.

Spanish would be great, there's a serious lack of Spanish TTS on Android compared to iOS and the quality is not the best.

spanish model will be out in a matter of weeks.

Great, thanks

Here to suggest the Bengali language! It has the 7th largest speaker base worldwide but often ignored by tech companies, sadly.

French, Spanish, German would go a long way.

french, spanish and german models will also be out v soon. these are languages we are working on already. some lower resource languages will take longer.

It's very good and you can be proud. Your kids should be too!

Thank you! They call themselves my play testers and ask to see if I have added anything new almost daily for the last week or so. I have a bonus level for the SRU I’m trying to perfect.

Funny you mention that because on their github they just pushed an update to say that it didn't work M3 and M4.

The quote was from the Github page.

Sorry about that but this is what is being there in github : Apple M3 or later required. MetalRT uses Metal 3.1 GPU features available on M3, M3 Pro, M3 Max, M4, and later chips. M1/M2 support is coming soon. On M1/M2, RCLI automatically falls back to the open-source llama.cpp engine.

How did you try it? You said on github it doesn't work.

They said it didn't work installed from homebrew, so I assume they went back and did the curl | bash install option

This option didn't work either. I tried it. Also, the install script… installs Brew. So at the end, it's the same?

Oh dear.

    if ! command -v brew &>/dev/null; then
        info "Installing Homebrew..."
        /bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/HEAD/install.sh)"
        eval "$(/opt/homebrew/bin/brew shellenv)"
    fi

Fair point. The install script shouldn't silently install Homebrew without explicit consent. We'll update it to detect when Homebrew is missing and prompt the user before installing anything beyond RCLI itself.

In the meantime, if you already have Homebrew, you can install directly:

brew tap RunanywhereAI/rcli https://github.com/RunanywhereAI/RCLI.git brew install rcli rcli setup

Or build from source if you prefer not to use either method: https://github.com/RunanywhereAI/RCLI#build-from-source

That’s hilarious

It loads after those errors. Tap space and talk to it.

Doesn't work. " zsh: segmentation fault rcli"

You could share your setup details, on GH if not here, to make it actionable.

I did on Github. This looks vibecoded? EDIT: Dev is using Claude Code as stated in their github updates.

We use AI tools in our workflow, same as a lot of teams at this point. The pipeline architecture, Metal integration, and engine design are ours. The code is MIT and open for anyone to read and judge the quality directly.

I'd like to make the same but with Owntracks instead of Swarm and ActivityWatch instead of RescueTime.

"System Platform" : "MacIntel" Even though the Graphics Renderer is "Apple M1, or similar".

I believe this comes from the (browser self-reported) navigator.platform, which is reported as MacIntel on all Chrome for Mac versions including Apple Silicon.

I logged in and was surprised to see Quran on the main page as "daily reminder"

Yes, so I won't apologise for it but I spent a lot of time trying to build something where I was getting a reminder for verses of the Quran. I think the home screen will be customisable soon enough for anyone who wants to see things differently or organise differently but I guess it was important to me. Maybe not to others, who knows.

Edit: I should say there's a configuration json in home/cards.json but I haven't documented the various settings for cards, RSS feeds, YouTube channels yet.

Trying on Macbook Pro (M4) with 24 GB, the whole system freeze after the first question.

I’m also team 24GB.

Is anyone using a similar setup with 24GB RAM? Which model would you recommend?

I only saw a sub-1B model mentioned in other comments, but that one seems too small.
