It’s sort of an odd turn about. My grandfather owned and operated several drive in theaters in Texas. The businesses were handed down to him by his mother, who ran the theaters herself with her husband. Technology like home tv and the vcr changed peoples theater habits. They socially distanced at home and we saw a near extinction of the drive in theater. It’s sort of ironic that now were moving in the opposite direction. So much time with Netflix and various streaming services that we’re seeking out the safety of a drive in theater today.

What a resurgence. We closed our last theater in the 2000’s but I’ve got fond memories of working the box office with my grandfather weekend evenings.

I'll second this one. I've had a few chats with Melissa, she's great.

This a thousand times. I read the article and thought it a little weak on perspective. I've used Mustache+Backbone+Require.js stack like the one you're alluding to and it worked quite well together.

Agree, I don't think per developer makes sense for this charting library but might make sense for other software. Say a text editor like Textmate or Sublime Text 2. Really, we might as well call it per user licensing.

Start with little or no weight. I started my squat with the bar and 2x25 pound weights. I've reached 4x45 pound weights + the bar after about a year. I took it slow and steady because I did not want to injure myself. I actually had someone compliment my squat form the other day! Thats a great feeling knowing where you started. Like anything, you just need to devote effort to getting better.

Similar for me. I started with just the bar (20kg) in April, and am now at 120kg (i.e. bar plus two 45 pound weights and one 12.5 pound weight on each side).

Just make sure you log everything, and keep pushing yourself, but with good form. Squat to (slightly below) parallel.

This wasn't at all surprising to me. HN has a great community of tech enthusiasts who have a insatiable appetite for tech content. I'm sure the people who ask for critiques on their web apps get a nice traffic boost.

Sounds alot like what I like about App Engine. Hit the upload button and you've got a new version uploaded and live within minutes.

I hope Apple relaunches this within iTunes. I loved lala.com and am sad to see it go. I found myself purchasing streamed albums after a certain point.

Woopra is a great realtime analytics service. I'm building our iPhone client...
