It's only ChakraCore that is going cross-platform at the moment, and existing platform support matrix for Microsoft Edge remains unchanged now. That said, we'd welcome input from developers and users who want to see Edge on the platform of their choice.
True, but if you could do day to day testing without a VM, even running automated tests against it, that would be a huge timesaver. Then you fire up the VM once a week (or some reasonable interval) to confirm it's 100%. There are platform specific bugs, but most issues I see now with Chrome or Firefox are specific to the browser, not the platform.
As in promises that Microsoft has made or as in what Windows Edge actually delivers?
Because so far, from what I've heard, there seems to be a pretty big discrepancy between those two, but I haven't seen any actual benchmarks, so could also just be nonsense...
I would love to have a Mac version of Edge, both for compatibility testing and for evaluating it as a main browser due to its ahem spartan UI/featureset.
