I reached out to 34,181 software engineers who voluntarily left companies within the first 12 months.

I believe no engineer wants to join a company and leave within the first year, so I wanted to understand the why.

Today, I’m excited to share those insights with you in this substack.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed!

ngrok | Platform/Infrastructure Engineers

ngrok is a developer tool building a programmable edge; smushing together a global network like a CDN, a load balancer / ingress proxy and application middleware handlers into one and putting developer-friendly APIs in front of them.

We are seeking software engineers who enjoy solving large scale problems around distributed systems, concurrency, and developer experience. Quick preview of our tech stack is Go, AWS, Typescript, and Postgres. We are usually ONSITE in the office, but fully remote during Covid.
