Have recently been getting pretty deep into Hugo for a 3rd project and while I love how fast the static sites Hugo builds are. I absolutely hate how every tool I love using takes hours to setup and how it take hours to debug random tooling integration issues between Hugo and node like postcss etc. so much so that despite how much I know Hugo and static sites in general are more often than not the way to go for a lot of things I have been recently reconsidering how much perfect optimization is worth if it takes so much effort to get when something like fresh can deliver what looks like a much better developer experience though perhaps without the perfect optimization
Oh, nice, I didn't even realise street view existed!
For anybody else who didn't realise - click on a circle to pop up a little preview of that subreddit, then click 'street view'. You can navigate in street view by clicking to bring up a crosshair, then using WSAD.
Hide my email is great but I've also really been enjoying the new duck email service that does the same thing just because it's quicker to use on windows, where you have to open icloud, create a new email and paste it in.
In fact the duck email service is nearly perfect, except for the fact that the extension forces you to use duck as a search engine and so you literally have to modify the chrome extension and store it locally if you just want the email service.
Exactly - to the people saying he speaks awkwardly, I prefer Elon speaking awkwardly and genuinely so much more than Sundar Pichai or Tim Cook giving a perfectly spoken but essentially 100% marketing bs presentation.
Yes ugh, The App store is basically unusable right now because nearly every app requires a subscription. Maybe I shouldn't complain about this since I have a subscription service myself, but don't really know what alternatives I have since the service requires fixed costs. But still ugh.
Wow this is so weird, I've had this exact same idea before! I don't know if you're familiar with Dark Forest strikes from the Dark Forest book, but in the book, or the one after that, aliens use bombs that slow the speed of light in the space of single solar systems, to prevent civilizations from becoming threats. Always thought it would be funny if actual dark forest strikes were just the bitcoin whitepaper and bitcoin/crypto eventually use up all available resources before civilization can become a problem lol. Hope someone makes this an actual story someday.
Okay one I haven't seen mentioned that I have been using a lot: Chrome Currency Converter, you can have it configured that when you press a shortcut all currencies on a page are converted to your local one. For me, when I press Alt-c the whole page changes from $ to my currency
