Well that's just not true at all. Being a private company doesn't magically exempt one from things like laws and regulatory oversight and all the rest of that.

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. As much as it is discussed and promoted in certain circles, it has basically no traction in national politics and its hard to see that it ever will since national level politics is currently pre-occupied with trying to figure out if crimes are actually illegal when their own party does them.

To get really out of the realm of HN, no one thing can be proven to exist outside of our collective hallucination. That hallucination has reliable rules, thankfully, so things can be proven to exist inside it.
