Having seen this image since inception, I never noticed Mt. Fuji in the background.

Its gotta be in there - that print (and 35 others believe it or not) are from hokusai's collection: Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji

Up until today I thought it was a tsunami painting

I didn't notice the boats

A lot of Ukiyo-e wood prints have small details that mean a lot to locals. I enjoy learning about them on the NHK's English channel.

In this case, the boats are fast (each has a bunch of crewmen) and were used to catch valuable fish. And the boats on the right have two people not at work (barely discernable in TFA's recreation). Those people were on break, getting ready to replace tired oarsmen. That way, the boat could be moving at all times.

For an org I worked for not long ago, I had them buy many of the previous incarnations of this monitor. They all died of an internal power supply issue within a year each. Even the replacements I got died within a year.

The external power supply bricks aren't much better. I've had a few 27" LG 4k monitors, and the ones with a brick seem to fail more frequently (in the monitor, brick was fine).

Ah, I had the same issue, I bet you were powering laptops through the monitor. See my comment on this post.

I spent some time last week adding Forgejo/Git to my local NAS via docker and tailscale.

Relative of mine is a real estate agent in the Louisville area. This year she sold two homes to two UPS pilots. One of them, his first day was yesterday. The day of the crash. He was bumped from that very flight.

From my understanding "bumped" means removed? Jesus I wonder how he feels right now. It's like a lottery.

Yes this pilot knows he avoided death. Whereas everyone else may have "got lucky" without realising. Every crash you drive past on the motorway for example!
