I'm getting a bit tired of all this revisionist history from several years ago (this anecdote seems to be 13 years old). Especially on places which don't understand how the inside of MSFT works (and has evolved over time).

Also, I'm willing to bet that BillG had a lot more to say than just those 2 sentences.
