Even if Google fixes that loophole, I think the larger point remains, that if they're exempting iframed content from their calculations, we're going to see a lot of SMB site builders sticking stuff unnecessarily in iframes just to claim a good "score".

Long-term, there's no rationale for excluding iframes. If it's visible on page, it should count.
