Unlike most of you fellows, my coding skills are akin to those of a dog. However, I can draw like an angel. From this experience, I can say that they both manifest as complex syntax, and this syntax can be elegant or clunky, succinct or elaborate, effective or ineffective.
The key difference seems to be the different ways that they can fail. Code can break in ways that are beyond argument. Certainly a drawing can break, but it is always possible to claim that it has not (e.g. 'I drew one foot larger than the other on purpose').
