Spotted this published recently and been digging through the preview and text, it's looking like a pretty good read for aspiring game designers.
This is based on reading the first exercise, where the authors give us an example trading card game and walk us through balancing it. A friend of mine and I are really excited about doing this and have already booked a weekend this coming month to sit down and go through that exercise.
I don't know the authors personally, but I figured there would be people here who found this interesting, seeing as I've seen similar things pop up here before from time to time.
If anyone spots a good pdf version of the book please let me know where to buy it! A lot of the Excel examples in the epub versions I've spotted are tiny and hard to read, which is the only criticism I've found so far.
