I wish them luck. As being one of a handful of people who have designed a scalable naming system that made it into production I can tell you that there are a lot of dragons there. A good start would be to look at the work done by the IETF on DNSSEC.

That said, as systems problems go, it is a really juicy one and brings a lot of understanding to all those who undertake it!
