CA wants to stop cars from going more than 10 MPH over speed limits (nbcbayarea.com)

Not CA, just one senator who filed a bill. Little or no chance of passing, BUT

When autos are electric, it's just an OTA software update. (that you can't block or undo)

Just wait a few years and it's done without legislation.

Auto manufacturer thinks it's a good idea and poof! it's built-in.

And "better yet" a speeding car can be remotely driven to the local CHP office, saving officers a stop or chase, and the driver can be booked, the in-car breathalyzer and drug detector read out (if not already done remotely.)

And I left out the weave detector that hindsightbias proposed!

It would just be simpler to have apple/google modify crash detection to “erratic” detection and dispatch CHP.

Gate off Laguna Seca and Sonoma and that gets you every sideshow and crazy weaver.
