Literally the first sentence of the introduction is ChatGPT addressing the user.


Poorly written papers could be an opportunity for automated laboratories, similar to supercomputer resources. Researchers could replicate with a click.

This would require more modular lab setups, where centrifuge, pipettes, and other equipment is "instantiated" into a space, and workflows are largely administered by robots.

The pursuit of cost savings for reagents and hardware could enable nano-scale "labs on a plate."


Elsevier is becoming the Amazon of scientific research it seems.
