SatCat5 uses the Serial Line Internet Protocol (SLIP) [1] to provide frame delimiters. Each SLIP-delimited frame contains the normal Ethernet MAC-layer header and footer (i.e., destination MAC address, source MAC address, EtherType, user data, CRC32 frame check sequence).
