I agree... I also think that for people with specific use cases, the rapid depreciation means that there are great deals available for used LEAFs. I wouldn't buy one new now.
Back when the Leaf was eligible for the $7,500 federal rebate, that accounted for a pretty big chunk of the depreciation for the lower trims. MSRP was in the $28,500 neighborhood. Minus $7,500, leaves you at $21,000. Or 26% hit the day you drive it off the lot.
