I don’t think any of those are nearly at the scale of Meta, at least in terms of how many people they touch.

Meta allegedly has 3.6B daily active users across their products; something like 1 in 2 people globally is a daily user of one of their services.

Meta is also in the business of interpersonal relationships, which is a nightmare. Banks, telcos, etc mostly deal in simple things that are complicated by doing it at enormous scale.

Interpersonal relationships are complicated even at small scales, and at large scales it’s virtually impossible to predict what behaviors will emerge. They took a complicated thing and scaled it into a globally ubiquitous process, and just gave up on doing it well at some point (because they can’t, and I don’t think anyone can).
