I had an email about this today. As far as I can tell, it's protesting about online censorship/filters/porn blocking. But neither the name nor the site content make that immediately obvious, which makes me suspect it will be deeply ineffective. Needs a rethink?


I for one love seeing the British do what they do well: dry sarcasm.


I'm British and I appreciate dry sarcasm, but I mainly find this weird and confusing.


Primarily because it is a plausible thing the UK would do these days.


I think it's very funny... unfortunately I agree, it assumes some knowledge of the subject before visiting, which isn't a great starting point for a protest.


It's not really the start of the protest, ORG have been doing some great stuff recently with Blocked.org.uk (which is where the data for this campaign comes from)


This reads more like they want to block the "Dirty Internet" and for casual users that will be the case.
